The Tour has been granted amazing behind the scenes access to three US Space facilities, opportunity to view a rocket launch to the World Space Station in preparation for a visit to the Moon and Mars in 2024. Three amazing airshows at Edwards USAF Base (see USAF Thunderbirds), Navy Aviation Station – Pensacola (Blue Angels Home Coming Airshow) and Chino. The tour includes a visit to 12 Aviation and Space Museums.




The tour will visit Space Centre in Houston, Space and Rocket Centre in Huntsville and the Kennedy Space Centre Complex at Cape Canaveral. The tour will visit the following museums:

DAY 1: Friday 9th October

After arriving in Los Angeles, your accommodation is booked for a relaxing night at a quality Hotel (included in tour cost). In the afternoon you may like to visit the nearby Western Museum of Flight or take a Hop on – Hop off Bus tour of Los Angeles, including Hollywood.

DAY 2: Saturday 10th October

We board our air-conditioned luxury coach for our drive to the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California. We will see a flying display, departing at 16:00 for our hotel.

DAY 3: Sunday 11th October

We board our air-conditioned luxury coach for our drive to Edwards USAF Base for the Aerospace Valley Airshow. The best of the best USAF aircraft and pilots will demonstrate the capability of USAF.
At the completion of the airshow we travel back to our accommodation.

DAY 4: Monday 12th October

This morning our coach departs for Los Angeles airport and our flight (included in tour cost) to Houston, Texas where “everything is bigger in Texas”.

On arrival in Houston we travel to Lone Star Museum. The 130,000 square foot facility houses the Museum’s renowned flying collection of historic aircraft, a $1 million, high-tech Aviation Learning Center and dynamic hands-on exhibits. The Lone Star Flight Museum is pleased to offer flight experiences (at your cost) in the the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, North American B-25 Mitchell, North American T-6 Texan, Boeing PT-17 Stearman, Fairchild PT-19 Cornell and the Cessna T-41 Mescalero.

We depart at 17:00 for our quality accommodation.

DAY 5: Tuesday 13th October

We depart this morning for a sensational behind the scenes tour of Johnson Space Centre. Our tour will explore where and how astronauts train, learn how NASA Mission Control Center communicates with the International Space Station and discover the past, present and future of space exploration. We will visit iconic locations such as Apollo Mission Control Center and Orion Mission Control room. Tour current Mission Control and explore Rocket Park, home to the massive Saturn V rocket, the most powerful rocket ever flown. Walk the floor of the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility in Building 9 where astronauts train and scientists and engineers develop the next generation of space exploration vehicles.

DAY 6: Wednesday 14th October

Today we travel in our luxury coach to WWII Museum in New Orleans. The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today—so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.

We depart at 17:30 for our quality accommodation.

DAY 7: Thursday 15th October


New Orleans is a Louisiana city on the Mississippi River, near the Gulf of Mexico. Nicknamed the “Big Easy,” it’s known for its round-the-clock nightlife, vibrant live-music scene and spicy, singular cuisine reflecting its history as a melting pot of French, African and American cultures.

DAY 8: Friday 16th October

Today we visit the USS Battleship Alabama Memorial Park. We can board and inspect the USS Alabama, USS Drum (Submarine), visit the artillery and tank exhibits and the Medal of Honour Aircraft Pavilion to view their extensive aircraft collection, historic vehicles and war artefacts.

We depart at 17:00 for our quality accommodation.

DAY 9: Saturday 17th October

Today we witness the flying skills of the Blue Angels. It is their Home Coming Airshow (we have exclusive seating) at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. We spend all day at the airshow.

We depart at the completion of the airshow for our quality accommodation.

DAY 10: Sunday 18th October

Today we visit one of the best aviation museums in the USA. The National Naval Aviation Museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most-visited museums in the state of Florida. Share the excitement of Naval Aviation’s rich history and see more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum’s over 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds.

DAY 11: Monday 19th October

Today we visit the US Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker, Alabama. There is over 150 aircraft and helicopters on display, in addition the museum maintains another 3,000 items in the historical property collection. The museum houses the largest collection of helicopters in the US and airplanes that trace the development and use of aviation by the Army in several areas: troop and cargo transportation; observation, scouting, and liaison duties; medical evacuations; and the use of armed helicopters as an offensive weapon of the combined arms team.

DAY 12: Tuesday 20th October

This morning we travel to the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic site and Museum. Before the first African American military pilots became known as the “Red Tails” they wore striped tails as they began their flight training in the Army’s PT-17 Stearman bi-plane. Their flying adventure started at Moton Field, in Tuskegee, Alabama, where the Army Air Corps began a military “experiment” to see if African American’s could be trained to fly combat aircraft.

After lunch we visit the Southern Museum of Flight it is one of the largest aviation museum’s in Southeast USA.The Southern Museum of Flight continues to present civilian, military and experimental aircraft and memorabilia from the earliest history of powered flight. The museum houses over 100 aircraft, as well as engines, models, artifacts, and paintings.

We depart at 17:00 for our quality accommodation in Huntsville, Alabama.

DAY 13: Wednesday 21st October

Today is an exciting visit behind the scenes at the Space and Rocket Centre. We visit the Marshall Space Flight Centre facilities, including the Propulsion Research and Development Laboratory, the Redstone Test Stand, this is where static tests of the Juno I and Mercury Redstone Launch Vehicles were performed from 1953 to 1961. One of the most interesting stops on the MSFC tour is at the HOSC – the Huntsville Operations Support Center. Also called the ISS Payload Operations Center, this is where you can watch NASA employees communicating directly with astronauts aboard the ISS as they do their science experiments each day. the HOSC helps astronauts manage their time and accomplish the goals of each mission.

DAY 14: Thursday 22nd October

This morning we board our flight to Orlando Florida (included in tour cost). On arrival in Orlando we prepare for a rocket launch (if launch delayed we have a free afternoon in Orlando. Orlando, a city in central Florida, is home to more than a dozen theme parks. Among its claims to fame is Walt Disney World, comprised of parks like the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center. Other major attractions include Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter straddling both.

We check in to our quality accommodation.

DAY 15: Friday 23rd October

Today we plan for a rocket launch and a behind the scenes tour of the Kennedy Space Center and a visit to their museum. The 2-hour special tour goes behind NASA’s gates and makes several stops at incredible once in a lifetime photo opportunities, see icons of spaceflight operations like the Vehicle Assembly Building, historic Launch Complex 39, Space-X launch facilities before concluding at the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

We depart at 17:00 for our quality accommodation.

DAY 16: Saturday 24th October

This morning we depart our accommodation for the Air Command Warbird Museum. The museum has a collection of over 45 historic warbirds from the beginnings of aviation to the present day.

After lunch we depart for Orlando International Airport, we say our goodbye’s to those travelling to other destinations and check in and board our aircraft, homeward bound for Australia.
